Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts for warehouse and cross-docking operations, with a focus on hazardous materials storage.

The role will manage due diligence, regulatory alignment, training development, and stakeholder coordination across the project lifecycle. The position reports to the Director of Environmental Services and emphasizes risk reduction and strong collaboration with customers and regulators within a large

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Environmental Science or related field; five years or more experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Five years or more experience in environmental field in large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting the transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agency or consulting firm in the environmental area.
• Three years or more experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through Go Live to assure compliance.
• Stay current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting warehousing and hazmat programs.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits and responses to external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
