Job summary

Albemarle Corporation seeks an Environmental Professional for its Silver Peak, Nevada site. The role reports to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager and entails developing, implementing, and managing programs to comply with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

You will partner with operations, maintenance and capital projects to support ongoing operations and expansion in Silver Peak.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, permitting, or related field required.
3–5 years of related work experience in environmental programs.
Solid knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
Competency in OSHA and MSHA compliance.
Proficiency with SAP, MS Office, and Adobe products.

Responsibilities

Conduct sampling and monitoring of environmental media and report findings.
Review data to identify patterns and potential environmental issues.
Draft letters and reports for Environmental Manager review.
Perform site audits to ensure permit and regulation compliance.
Develop and manage environmental policies and procedures.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams for compliance.
Prepare plans to prevent or mitigate environmental damage and respond to incidents.
Manage hazardous, non-regulated, solid, and universal waste under regulations.
Engage with regulators and auditors during inspections and requests.
Monitor air and water quality and identify hazardous pollutants.
