Job summary

Albemarle in Silver Peak, NV seeks an Environmental Professional to develop and manage programs ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws. The role focuses on supporting operations, capital projects, and audits to prevent liabilities and drive sustainable practices.

Under the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will monitor media, draft reports, coordinate emergency plans, and foster a collaborative culture across departments and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate environmental field.
• 3–5 years of related work experience required.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
• Competency in OSHA and MSHA compliance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and monitoring of environmental media.
• Review and analyze data to identify patterns or problems.
• Draft letters and reports for Environmental Manager review.
• Perform site audits and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage environmental policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with operations and capital projects to align goals.
• Plan responses to environmental incidents and emergencies.
• Manage waste streams per federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Engage with regulatory agencies and auditors as needed.
• Monitor air and water quality and identify hazardous pollutants.
