Job summary

Ryder Environmental Health and Safety division seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts across warehousing and cross-docking operations. You will assess regulatory requirements, implement controls, and work with customers and regulators to minimize risk.

Responsibilities include due diligence, audits, training, and responding to external reviews, with travel 10-20% as indicated. A Bachelor’s in Environmental Science or 5+ years in the field is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Environmental Science or 5+ years in regulatory/transport setting.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field.
• 5+ years in environmental field in a large corporate setting.
• Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Knowledge of environmental laws impacting transportation/logistics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental due diligence for new supply chain opportunities from RFP through Go Live.
• Monitor local, state, and federal regulations affecting Ryder and hazmat/waste programs.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to facilities, perform audits, coordinate external audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training for waste management, spill response, and regulatory reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
