Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, seeks an Environmental Manager to administer the plant environmental program and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. The role aligns with corporate environmental policies and drives best practices across operations.

The candidate will develop environmental strategies, monitor performance, and deploy systems to track outcomes while coordinating with regulators and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 year/Bachelors degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the environmental field, cement, mining or related industry preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with all environmental permits and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintains a compliance task list and monitoring system with deadlines.
• Evaluates environmental performance, identifies corrective actions through audits, and follows up.
