The role develops strategies, deploys monitoring tools, and drives performance across operations.

Key duties include ensuring permits, conducting audits, coordinating stack testing, training staff, interacting with regulators and community stakeholders, and traveling up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the environmental field, cement, mining, or related industry.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies.
• Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
• Ability to build and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and laws.
• Maintain a compliance task list and monitoring system with deadlines.
• Evaluate site environmental performance and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as local contact with regulators and community stakeholders.
• Participate in environmental projects and inspections with regulators.
• Review projects for environmental compliance and obtain permits.
• Prepare reports/renewals and assist with data collection.
• Coordinate and review stack testing reports.
• Train plant personnel on the compliance management system.
• Travel up to 10% and assist other facilities as needed.
