Job summary

Ash Grove Cement, a CRH company, is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee the plant's environmental program in line with federal and state laws and corporate policies. You will develop strategies to improve compliance, lead audits, manage reporting, and serve as the liaison with regulators and community stakeholders while guiding the site toward sustainable practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law or related field.
• 7+ years in environmental field, cement/mining preferred.
• Proficient in English communication and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits and laws at federal, state, and local levels.
• Maintain a compliance task list and monitoring system with deadlines.
• Evaluate site environmental performance and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as the local contact with regulatory and community stakeholders.
• Participate in projects involving environmental issues and liaise with regulatory agencies.
