Job summary

Inframark is hiring an Environmental Compliance Inspector for the Burbank Water Reclamation Treatment plant. You will inspect, sample, and monitor wastewater and stormwater facilities to ensure compliance with Clean Water Act and local regulations.

The role requires field work, data entry, and collaboration with regulatory agencies, with on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and the goal of achieving

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; one year related experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain Environmental Compliance Inspector Grade I within a year.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Willing to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and sample wastewater dischargers and review operations records for compliance.
• Set samplers, measure flow and pH; follow safety practices.
• Collect and preserve samples; prepare chain-of-custody and forms.
• Respond to illicit discharges and hazardous material complaints.
• Work all shifts, including weekends and on-call emergencies.
• Enter inspection data into pretreatment database.
• Conduct field tests and collect wastewater, stormwater, groundwater samples.
• Perform site inspections at various facilities for regulatory compliance.
• Investigate stormwater and wastewater violations.
• Prepare reports and assist with compliance submissions.
• Calibrate and operate monitoring equipment.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and respond to inquiries.
