Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Part-time Wastewater Operator II or III for our Burbank Wastewater plant. This role oversees operation and maintenance of equipment at a mid-to-large facility, ensuring reliable plant performance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include monitoring and testing, documenting flow and chemical usage, responding to after-hours calls, training staff, and coordinating routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years water/wastewater experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Water/Wastewater Operator license as per state/site requirements.
• Ability to follow manuals and SOPs.
• Willing to work all shifts, including weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operates valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and related machinery.
• Performs routine testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater.
• Documents plant performance, daily flow, and chemical usage.
• Responds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensures facilities are secure and maintains grounds.
• Trains employees on plant operations, SOPs and safe work practices.
• Provides customer service and communicates with clients on technical aspects.
• May coordinate maintenance activities at the facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
