Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks an experienced environmental compliance leader to design, implement, and monitor programs across AWS data centers and construction sites in the VA region.

You will work with stakeholders to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and drive cost-efficient, compliant operations. You will lead audits, investigations, and reporting, while collaborating with legal and compliance teams to interpret requirements and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water, and air regulations.
• Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Regular interactions with stakeholders delivering environmental compliance leadership.
• Develop and implement environmental standards, policies and practices.
• Conduct environmental compliance audits of data centers and active construction sites.
• Perform environmental incident investigations and regulatory reports.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and data integrity.
• Perform data trend analysis to support environmental initiatives.
• Consult with compliance and legal teams for interpretations and guidance.
• Represent Amazon at governmental levels.
• Prepare and submit time-critical reports to agencies.
• Identify improvement opportunities and coordinate with internal teams.
