Job summary

The State of Connecticut's Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is seeking an Environmental Analyst 2 in Hartford to support the licensing and enforcement unit in the ERSPD. The role focuses on RBCRs compliance, PEP approvals, and processing GP applications, with emphasis on accurate data review and public access to up-to-date information.

The position offers a 35-hour work week with first shift, a hybrid/telework option, and opportunities for professional growth within MMCA's

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience involving technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data.
• Experience interpreting and applying state/federal environmental statutes and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and approving environmental permits and PEP processes.
• Support enforcement actions and recordkeeping for environmental compliance.
• Track and report metrics for unit operations and program deliverables.
• Conduct site investigations and prepare environmental impact summaries.
• Collaborate with staff to draft regulations and guidance materials.
