Job summary

The State of Connecticut in Hartford is seeking an Environmental Analyst 2 to join the MMCA ERSPD team. This role focuses on RBCR-related work, permits for PEPs, and enforcement support in a hybrid/telework-friendly environment.

The position requires strong analytical abilities, knowledge of environmental laws, and the capacity to manage enforcement actions, track data, and support public access to up-to-date regulatory lists and permits.

Qualifications

• Six years of experience involving technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data.
• Education may substitute for up to five years of experience under state rules.
• Experience interpreting RBCRs and applying related statutes and regulations.
• Experience reviewing, tracking and issuing release cleanup documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of departmental, statewide or local environment plans and programs.
• Review projects for policy compliance and environmental impact.
• Prepare environmental impact statements and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate database maintenance and reporting of environmental data.
• Assist in drafting enforcement actions and tracking to closure.
