Job summary

Casella Waste Systems is seeking an Environmental Analyst to maintain environmental compliance and manage permit requirements across assigned locations. The role serves as the local technical expert, applying engineering principles to prepare reports, perform tests, audits, inspections, and to collect and analyze samples.

The position allows remote work within our operating footprint; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field with 1–4 years in solid waste or environmental industry.
• Ability to work in a team within a collaborative environment, with travel to Northeast offices.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations and safety commitments.

Responsibilities

• Participates in frequent field site visits, collects data, analyzes findings, and prepares technical reports.
• Maintains permits with facility management and submits applications on time.
• Coordinates and manages contractors on engineering and construction projects.
• Identifies and corrects compliance issues with facility managers.
• Manages ETMS database and GIS projects within the footprint.
• Reports data to support safety, compliance, and sustainability goals.
