This is a hands-on leadership role combining HSE expertise, business development, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
HSE Leadership & Compliance – Act as the primary HSE representative for contractors and clients, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry standards while driving a strong safety culture across all operations.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement – Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, while conducting audits and risk assessments to identify trends and improve performance.
Business Development & Growth – Identify and pursue new HSE business opportunities across the North American energy sector through client engagement, networking, and market insight.
Client & Contractor Relations – Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high service levels, contractor care, and alignment with client expectations.
Operational Delivery & Support – Partner with recruitment and operations teams to source, deploy, and support high-quality HSE professionals across client projects.
Coaching & Team Leadership – Mentor and develop HSE personnel while overseeing day-to-day HSE activities and supporting team performance.
Strategic Planning & Execution – Develop and implement HSE strategies aligned with global objectives, monitoring market trends and regulatory changes to support business growth.
Market Expertise – Stay ahead of industry developments within the energy sector to position NES Fircroft as a trusted HSE partner.
What We’re Looking For:
Industry Experience – 7+ years of HSE experience within the energy sector, with exposure to upstream, midstream, or downstream environments.
Commercial Acumen – Proven success in business development, client engagement, or supporting revenue growth in a service-driven environment.
Leadership Capability – Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and develop teams while building strong internal and external relationships.
Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of North American HSE regulations, standards, and compliance frameworks.
Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred.
Organizational Strength – Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confident Communicator – Clear, professional, and credible with strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Team Player – Collaborative by nature with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
