Job summary

SAVI EHS – Haskell, TX (On-site) is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead daily safety operations on-site and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, client requirements, and site safety plans.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction EHS, OSHA 1926 knowledge, experience with multiple subcontractors, and OSHA 30 (510/500 preferred). This is a full-time W-2 role for approximately five months, at $50.00 per hour for about 60 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction EHS experience
• OSHA 1926 Construction Standards knowledge
• Experience coordinating with multiple subcontractors on active job sites
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 or 500 preferred
• Proficiency with safety management systems and reporting tools
• BCSP certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP are a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for on-site construction activities
• Conduct documented daily EHS inspections, audits, and safety observations
• Monitor trade partner activities to ensure adherence to safety plans
• Review DHAs and JHAs and participate in safety planning
• Investigate incidents and near misses with root-cause analysis
• Support high-risk operations including cranes, rigging, fall protection, electrical work, and LOTO
• Deliver site-specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training
• Track safety metrics and drive continuous improvement in safety culture

Position Overview

The EHS Manager will oversee daily safety operations, partnering closely with project leadership and trade partners to ensure all activities remain compliant with OSHA standards, client requirements, and site-specific safety plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for all on-site construction activities
• Conduct documented daily EHS inspections, audits, and safety observations
• Monitor trade partner activities to ensure adherence to approved safety plans and procedures
• Participate in and review Daily Hazard Analyses (DHAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Support high-risk operations including cranes, rigging, fall protection, electrical work, and LOTO
• Deliver site‑specific safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training as needed
• Track safety metrics and support continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with project leadership to promote an injury-free workplace and strong safety culture

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction EHS experience highly preferred (data center or mission‑critical experience is a plus)
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
• Experience working with multiple subcontractors and trade partners on active job sites
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
• Candidates with steel erection, tilt-wall, or precast experience strongly preferred
• BCSP certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP are a big plus
