Job summary

SAVI EHS is actively seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support an active construction project in Columbus, OH. This role collaborates with project leadership, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain daily safety operations and OSHA compliance on site.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of construction safety experience, BCSP certification, and strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards, OSHA 30, and safety program management for MEP projects.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards.
• BCSP certification required: CHST, ASP, or CSP.
• OSHA 30 required (OSHA 510 preferred).
• Demonstrated experience managing MEP safety compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS representative for the client on site.
• Implement and enforce project-specific safety plans, AHAs/JHAs, and client requirements.
• Perform daily site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
• Lead incident, near-miss, and hazard investigations with root cause analysis.
• Interface with project management, subcontractors, owners’ representatives, and regulatory agencies.
• Conduct site orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Monitor safety trends, metrics, and compliance documentation.
• Support high-risk activities including rigging, MEWPs, excavation, electrical safety, and LOTO.

Position Summary
