Responsibilities:

  1. Excellent employment opportunity for a Senior Manager-EHS in the Fremont, CA area.
  2. Manage Company Environmental Health and Safety compliance programs in accordance with all applicable State and Federal regulations, corporate requirements, and other legal requirements to help protect employee health and safety, the environment, and minimize risks.
  3. Assist internal customers with EHS needs and actively promote a safety and sustainability culture.
  4. Contribute to the discovery, development, and delivery of products to patients and customers.
  5. Manage and improve Company Health and Safety Programs, including Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Safety, Process Safety, Ergonomics, Hazard Communication, Biosafety, PPE, and other safety programs.
  6. Serve as Biological Safety Officer and manage Emergency Response teams, including Evacuation Teams.
  7. Manage and improve Environmental Programs such as Air Emissions, Wastewater, Groundwater Protection, Waste Management, and Remediation.
  8. Foster safety and environmental stewardship through outreach, messaging, committee leadership, and collaboration with Senior Management.
  9. Develop and manage the EHS Management Systems for the Fremont site.
  10. Implement continuous improvement initiatives for safety and environmental performance.
  11. Collaborate with Business Partners to resolve EHS concerns and support their needs.
  12. Participate in emergency response, incident response, inspections, and audits.
  13. Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Experience:

  1. Bachelor's Degree required.
  2. 8-10 years' EHS experience at operational facilities, including 5+ years in technical subject matter.
  3. Significant experience managing EHS programs at operational sites.
  4. 4-6 years leading projects.
  5. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  6. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and customer service skills.
  7. Broad knowledge of EHS regulations and management systems.
  8. Understanding of business interruption and crisis management risks.
  9. In-depth knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements.
  10. Ability to work in physically demanding environments and participate in emergency activities.
  11. Lift up to 35 lbs.
  12. Periodic off-shift work may be required.
  13. Certifications: Certified Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or similar.
