Re:Build Manufacturing LLC in Rochester, NY is seeking an entry-level Wire Harness Design Engineer to develop and finalize wire harness packages for manufacturing. You will use Cadonix Arcadia to create detailed designs and CAD tools like SolidWorks for routing and retention, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specs.

The role requires a BS in Electrical or electromechanical engineering and 2–3 years in harness design.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical or electro mechanical Engineering.
2–3 years of experience in wire harness design.
Familiarity with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks).
Good understanding of wire routing and harness assembly techniques.
Knowledge of UL, IPC, SAE standards for Automotive.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to gather and understand design requirements for wire harnesses.
Review and finalize missing design inputs, ensuring specifications are captured.
Use Cadonix Arcadia to create detailed wire harness designs and documentation.
Design routing and retention of harnesses using SolidWorks.
Ensure designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
Support manufacturing during production and reviews for optimization.
Manage Arcadia part database, including data quality and access control.
Maintain thorough documentation throughout the design process.
