Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16-24 week internship in one of our offices in winter 2027.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and integrate harness systems; represent the harness discipline on a project.
• Investigate, plan, design and develop harnesses to meet requirements.
• Research, select and procure connectors, back-shells, contacts, wire, shielding, and cable construction for the product to meet environmental requirements.
• Develop harness system diagrams and wire diagrams for production release.
• Participate in design reviews and drive design decisions.
• Prepare harness assembly instructions and test procedures, incorporating industry standards and best practices.
• Guide electrical team on system requirements from stakeholders including engineering, product management, quality and compliance.
• Support multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with harness manufacturers to deliver high quality, reliable products.
• Own end-to-end wiring and interconnect systems, including power distribution, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity.
• Ensure designs meet voltage, current, bandwidth, redundancy, EMI/EMC requirements.
• Perform electrical trade studies for wire gauge, shielding, connector selection, and topology.
• Analyze and mitigate EMI, voltage drop, crosstalk, and thermal effects.
• Apply SWaP considerations for power, network and communications systems.
• Deliverables: working script and a short technical note on protocol behavior/edge cases.
• Projects are program-focused and not a limit on scope.
