Job summary
Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking a Director, Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a cross-functional team embedded across sites and the Resource Center. You will drive full-stack digital solutions, hire and develop engineers, and partner with stakeholders to deliver high-impact projects that scale manufacturing capabilities.
You will combine deep software engineering credibility with strong leadership to keep engagements prioritized and delivered quickly, while advancing AI-enabled development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/CS or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years leading customer-facing software delivery and technical delivery programs.
- 2+ years of people leadership or technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify difficulties and opportunities for digital solutions across portfolios.
- Prioritize opportunities based on impact, feasibility, and alignment.
- Guide FDEs through technical decisions, development, reviews, and delivery.
- Define engineering standards and practices for scalability and security.
- Build repeatable delivery assets, documentation, and implementation approaches.
- Establish metrics and collect feedback for improvement.
- Foster AI-enabled development tool adoption to accelerate delivery and code quality.
- Stay current with AI, Industry 4.0 trends, and relevant SaaS solutions.
- Travel up to 25% domestically to customer sites.
