Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC, a leader in wire and cable production, invites applications for the Take Up 1 entry-level position at the Villa Rica Plant. You will rewind material to specified lengths, perform spark testing, and ensure quality according to our standards.

The role supports production in a fast-paced environment with potential painting and patching tasks as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, English proficiency (Spanish bilingual a plus), and the ability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write and speak English; Spanish bilingual is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Run a specified package length.
• Set spark-tester settings.
• Tag and package product properly.
• Produce a quality product according to specifications and visual check.
• Possible painting of wire, print removal, or reprinting while rewinding.
• Make a quality patch on defective material when needed.
• Strip insulation off scrap wire.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
