Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC is seeking an entry-level Take Up 3 operator to run take-up equipment and assist with line operations at the SCUPP facility. The role involves handling heavy loads, following production orders, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include taking up and paying off, winding cables to specified lengths, labeling reels, and assisting the line operator to ensure smooth line performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform take up and pay off operations as required.
• Layer wind cable to customer specified ship out length and reel.
• Properly utilize production order to meet all customer requirements.
• Operate take up and assist line operator with running the machine.
• Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function.
• Utilize tagging system to label reels.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs to machines.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
