Job summary

Southwire Company is seeking an entry-level Take Up 1 to rewind material to length, strip insulation, and perform spark testing for quality products in Carrollton area facilities. The role requires English fluency, with Spanish as a plus, standing for long periods, and ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Run a specified package length.
• Responsible for proper spark-tester settings.
• Tag and package product properly.
• Produce a quality product according to specifications and visual checks.
• Possible painting of wire, print removal, or reprinting while rewinding.
• Make a quality patch on defective material when needed.
• Strip insulation off scrap wire.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
