Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an Operator I to operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment and related equipment in an industrial facility. You will conduct sampling, adjust chemical levels, and ensure regulatory compliance while working 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, willingness to learn, basic English literacy, and the ability to pass drug and background checks. Safety and teamwork are essential in this role at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some experience in a related position and environmental services preferred.
• Previous experience in a related position or industrial, refinery, or water treatment environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions).
• Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and associated processes.
• Conduct quality testing and adjust chemical levels as needed.
• Collect water samples and record results.
• Monitor SCADA system to track plant performance and identify issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Work in a team environment and be ready to take on new responsibilities.
