American Water is seeking a Water Infrastructure Associate Planning Engineer to help assess long-term needs of water and/or wastewater systems and develop project solutions for reliable service. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of engineering design, planning, construction, project delivery and/or project management.
• Water system and wastewater hydraulic modeling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of strategic water and wastewater system planning studies.
• Conduct system capacity evaluations and analyses to support operations and growth opportunities.
• Assist in hydraulic model development, calibration and analysis for water and wastewater networks.
• Support multiple small to medium projects across planning, design or construction.
• Develop technical information into feasible engineering approaches.
• Undertake special projects and tasks as directed by team leads or managers.
