Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring an entry-level O&M Tech I to learn water distribution and wastewater collection systems under close supervision. You will gain hands-on experience with meters, valves, and related equipment, while building foundational maintenance and customer service skills.

With on-the-job training and safety instruction, you will progressively take on more responsibilities and contribute to reliable water service and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position with supervision and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service duties such as turn-ons, shut-offs, leaks checks, and report water use violations.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair meters, valves, pipes, and appurtenances; flush distribution and clean wastewater systems.
• Assist in repairs of water mains and wastewater collection systems and related equipment.
• Respond to customer complaints and emergency calls; investigate causes and assist in mitigating spills and leaks.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and a range of light to heavy equipment and tools.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in training and safety meetings.
