Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an entry-level O&M Technician I to perform a variety of operation and maintenance tasks at water production facilities. You will work under supervision, operate equipment, collect samples, perform tests and assist with basic repairs while adhering to safety and environmental policies.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, basic math and reading skills, a valid driver's license, and regulatory wastewater/water licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Good reading, math, writing and verbal communication skills; mechanical aptitude.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum water/wastewater license as required by regulatory agencies at site.
• Able to operate and read meters, gauges, and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment manually and via instrumentation panels following process control procedures.
• Performs routine CLAIR on machines and related equipment.
• Collects water and wastewater samples and performs field tests.
• Performs routine lab tests and prepares reports.
• Performs instrument calibration for portable meters.
• Lifts and moves equipment as needed; maintains a safe workspace.
