Job summary

The Town of Flower Mound's Public Works department is hiring for multiple essential positions within wastewater treatment operations. In addition to core duties, the Town offers a $1,500 Sign-On Incentive and a $1,500 Employee Referral Incentive to eligible staff.

Typical duties include operating plant equipment, collecting samples, handling supplies, and performing routine maintenance. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid state-issued driver's license required.
• Ability to work indoors, outdoors and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater treatment plant equipment including pumps, valves, electric motors, filters, electrical switchgear, and meters.
• Collect water and wastewater samples as directed.
• Load and unload supplies and chemicals from trucks, tankers, and other transport containers.
• Assist operators and mechanics in cleaning and repairing tanks, basins, reservoirs and related equipment.
• Inform supervisor of problems, deviations, hazards, or unfamiliar situations during work activities.
• Perform general housekeeping inside buildings and around plant facilities.
