Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is seeking a Waste Processing Technician I (WPTI) for our Lindenhurst-area facility in the United States. This entry-level role safely handles waste processing steps, operates forklifts and related equipment, and supports shredding and loading operations.

You will be part of a team focused on safe, efficient material handling and adherence to Reworld Values. The role requires at least 1 year in a shipping/receiving environment, forklift experience, and the ability to pass a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED
• 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving like environment
• Forklift experience preferred
• Able to pass respirator fit test
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physical demands: must lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Must exercise good judgement and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.
• Process waste materials into like commodities or in accordance with vendor specifications
• General housekeeping. Sweeping, washing and other maintenance of the area(s)
• Preventative Maintenance paperwork for equipment
• Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds
• Managing collection points within our facility
• Ability to demonstrate how actions support Reworld Values and Behaviors, including Safe and Inclusive Workplace, Delivering Results through Trust and Building Breakthrough Capabilities
• Interact with plant personnel to determine needs of the local areas
