Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Waste Processing Technician I to safely operate heavy equipment, assist with shredding, and move waste through processing lines at our Lindenhurst facility. This entry-level role supports continuous improvement while maintaining safety and efficiency.

This position requires a High School diploma or GED, 1+ year shipping/receiving experience, forklift familiarity, and the ability to pass a respirator fit test.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving like environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Able to utilize NetSuite and MS Office.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and apply Reworld Values.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors.
• Process waste materials into like commodities per vendor specs.
• General housekeeping and area maintenance.
• Preventative maintenance paperwork for equipment.
• Load/unload trailers and manage facility collection points.
• Interact with plant personnel to determine local needs.
