Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician in Columbus, OH to support Doctors of Optometry with patient preparation, preliminary testing, and measurements. No optical experience required—training will be provided to learn about the vision care industry and to help deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

You will work under the Office General Manager, assisting with patient flow, comfort during exams, and collaboration with the optometry team. Some weekend and evening shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic math is a plus.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.
• Personable, patient and detail oriented; supports Doctor and team during screenings.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document medical history and prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings prior to doctor visits.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and provide preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver a seamless patient experience.
