Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician I - Apprentice to join its nationwide industrial services team. The role focuses on learning and applying skills in structured cabling, routing cables, and installing electrical and networking hardware in commercial environments.

The position requires basic construction knowledge, a willingness to learn, and the ability to meet driving standards. Benefits begin after 30 days, with full-time, direct-hire employment and long-term career opportunities.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalency.
0–1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
Must possess and learn to effectively use the listed tools.
Ability to meet Company minimum driving standards preferred.

Responsibilities

Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and walls; route cables and perform pre-termination procedures.
Build and mount racks, cross connects, patch panels, fiber optics and hardware; install grounding as required.
Perform fire-stopping procedures, install sleeves, and pull cable through sleeves and cores.
Terminate low-voltage devices and complete all IES COMMUNICATIONS paperwork on time.
Adhere to company, customer and industry quality and safety standards.
