Job summary

Bristol Alliance of Companies in Hawaii seeks a Drop Installer I to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications cables for residential and commercial properties.

You will work with fiber optic and copper facilities, perform testing and basic splicing, and follow OSHA and safety guidelines while delivering courteous customer service. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to be on-call during weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0 to 6 months of field experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure cable systems for internet, TV, and phone.
• Place aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises.
• Install enclosures, vaults, and other infrastructure components.
• Mark facilities to identify wiring and trace paths.
• Perform fiber optic splicing and basic repairs.
• Carry out general construction duties and move equipment as needed.
• Test signals and troubleshoot to ensure service quality.
• Document work performed and complete required paperwork.
• Provide assistance to higher-level installers when needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and OSHA/NESC standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and explain services.
