Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of experience in telecommunications or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee or assist in installing structured cabling systems (fiber and copper).
• Run, pull, and terminate cables; install network equipment and racks.
• Build telecommunication closets and ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform grounding/bonding and fire stopping per codes.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling systems (fiber and copper).
• Read and interpret work orders, specs, drawings, and cut lists.
• Possibly work independently, in teams, or as foreman under supervision.
• Conduct site surveys and plan new/upgraded cabling projects.
• Follow safety practices; use test equipment for diagnostics.
• Use Windows PC for records, reports, and configuration.
• Configure IP-enabled equipment via telnet, ping, IP config, FTP.
• Remain current with technology in telecommunications.
