Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an entry-level SUE Technician to work under the SUE Analyst on locating underground utilities and marking results for field sketches.

You will operate SUE field gear (GPR, marking tools, cameras) and travel daily to sites, sometimes overnight. Training will be provided; prior experience is welcome but not required, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors across various terrains (urban, suburban, rural) and in adverse conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Available to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize learned skills by safe operation of SUE field equipment.
• Exercise extreme caution near utilities and follow job site safety parameters.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and work sites.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
