Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an entry-level SUE Technician I to assist under the SUE Analyst on locating and mapping underground utilities. You will use maps and field equipment to designate utilities and help produce accurate field sketches for client use.

Responsibilities include recording locations, performing routine inspections, and maintaining tools and vehicles. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; willingness to travel, lift 50 pounds, and work up to 50 hours in busy periods is

Qualifications

• Ability to walk outdoors for long periods through varied terrain and conditions.
• Lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Willingness to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Work 50 hours during peak periods; unsupervised work when required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to locate underground utility lines using maps, records, and other resources.
• Utilize field equipment such as GPR, designating equipment, sewer camera, and probe rods.
• Maintain accurate records of utility locations and updates.
• Conduct inspections to identify hazards or issues and assist with vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
