Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an entry‑level SUE Technician to help locate underground utilities and mark results for field sketches. You will operate SUE field gear under the SUE Analyst, helping ensure accurate data and safe site practices.

You may travel daily, lift up to 50 pounds, and gain hands-on training with equipment like GPR and other tools, with growth opportunities in the firm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors in various terrains and weather conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Willingness to travel daily with occasional overnight stays.
• Work 50 hours during peak periods and unsupervised when required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities and designate them with paint and flags.
• Create accurate field sketches for client use.
• Operate SUE field equipment safely under supervision.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment and follow company policies.
• Be willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
