Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking an entry-level SUE Technician to assist under the direction of the SUE Analyst in locating underground utilities and creating field sketches. You will operate field equipment, designate utilities, and travel as needed to sites across varied terrains.

You will follow safety protocols, assist with maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and support the team in meeting project goals. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the firm.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors on varied terrain and under adverse conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Available to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Work unsupervised when required; background checks and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate SUE field equipment safely, including GPR and designation tools.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and work sites.
• Exercise caution around utilities and follow safety parameters.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
