Job summary

McKim & Creed seeks an entry-level SUE Technician to work under the SUE Analyst on projects locating underground utilities and marking them with paint and flags for accurate field sketches.

You will operate GPR and other field equipment, travel as needed, and support maintenance of vehicles and sites, while adhering to safety and company policies to contribute to timely project completion.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to walk outdoors for long periods through various terrains and adverse conditions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment as needed.
• Available to travel daily; occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Work unsupervised when required.
• Background & motor vehicle checks and pre-employment drug screening are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate SUE field equipment safely: ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic designation equipment, sewer camera, probe rod, jackhammer, chop saw, pneumatic tampers, vacuum excavation equipment.
• Exercise extreme caution near or around utilities and follow all safety parameters.
• Assist with maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and work sites.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
