Job summary

Technibus, Inc. is seeking a Technician I - Structured Cabling I to join our team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate has 0–1 year of experience in structured cabling or related technical fields and is willing to learn under supervision.

The role involves installing outlets, routing cables, building closets, terminating devices, and performing pre-termination procedures. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of zero (0) to one (1) year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Must possess and learn to effectively use the listed tools.
• Ability to meet Company minimum driving standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and walls.
• Route and terminate cables, organize and label cables.
• Build closets with racks, patch panels, and grounding.
• Perform fire-stopping and sleeves installation.
• Terminate low-voltage devices and complete IES paperwork.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Complete other assigned responsibilities.
