Advantage Technology is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician I for our Bridgeport, WV team. This hands-on field role involves installing copper and fiber cabling, racks, patch panels, and related low-voltage systems across customer sites.

Ideal candidates are dependable, mechanically capable, and eager to learn. Travel to customer locations and working in commercial environments are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of structured cabling, telecommunications, networking, electrical work or related trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools (drills, fish tapes, punch-down tools, crimpers, cable cutters).
• Willingness to learn from senior technicians and work with teams.
• Attention to detail and pride in clean, organized work.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling (Cat 5e/6/6A, fiber).
• Pull cable through ceilings, walls, trays, and pathways.
• Terminate copper into jacks, patch panels, and related equipment.
• Assist with fiber installation and testing.
• Install and organize network racks, patch panels, and cable management.
• Assist with wireless access points, cameras, and low-voltage systems.
• Follow safety standards and project instructions.
• Travel to customer locations across North Central West Virginia.
