Job summary

Hargrove in Columbus, OH is seeking a Structural Engineer I to perform routine designs of less complex tasks under direct supervision, applying standard engineering methods and following department standards.

You will develop conceptual layouts, prepare estimate-level designs, review calculations, and coordinate with drafting and design teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to codes such as IBC and AISC. EIT preferred; up to 1 year experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Structural coursework required.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine design tasks under direct supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance to codes and standards.
• Review vendor drawings and construction submittals for compliance.
• Collaborate with design leaders to ensure timely project completion.
