The Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute is seeking an entry level Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations and accounting records at our onsite facility in Hampton, Virginia. The role emphasizes accounts payable, general ledger postings, reconciliations, payroll submissions, and maintaining accurate vendor and asset records in Sage Intacct.

Qualificações

• Association degree in accounting or related field required, bachelor’s preferred.
• Understanding of accounting theory and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel and communication skills; detail-oriented and proactive.

Responsabilidades

• Process accounts payable and post related journal entries.
• Prepare GL entries and reconciliations to support month-end closings.
• Record month-end accruals and reversals; perform cash reconciliations.
• Process EFT/ACH payments and reconcile vendor statements.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with fixed assets and budget variances.
