Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a Thermal Engineer to lead design and development of module and vehicle level passive thermal assemblies from conception through flight operations. You will produce specifications, test plans and reports while collaborating with the thermal analysis group and other disciplines.

You must have a BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering and at least 8 years of relevant experience, with strong fundamentals in thermal design, hardware testing, and

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant thermal engineering experience.
• Experience building and testing thermal hardware and hardware verification.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop module and vehicle level passive thermal assemblies from conception through development and flight operations.
• Support internal or external development of passive thermal components and assemblies.
• Work with multi-discipline product teams to mature module and vehicle designs.
• Collaborate with the thermal analysis group and develop plans and test reports.
• Analyze component/assembly thermal performance using various analysis methods.
• Develop short/long-term development plans and manage make or buy decisions.
