Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables is seeking a Development Associate to support solar and battery storage project development across the Midwest. This entry-level role emphasizes proactive communication, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and helping ensure project quality, schedules, and budgets.

You will assist in due diligence, site analysis, permitting, interconnection work, and collaboration with engineering and finance teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a professional environment (internships/part-time work count).
• Bachelor's degree in energy, real estate, sustainability, policy, communications, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated interest in renewable energy or related field.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project schedules, scopes, and budgets and provide viability recommendations.
• Schedule meetings and record decisions; assign tasks and next steps.
• Prepare documentation for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Research zoning, policy, permits, land records and industry studies.
• Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Support interconnection documents and coordination with utilities and internal engineering.
