Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices on a full-time jobsite in Ben Wheeler, TX. The role emphasizes safety, basic testing, and servicing solar equipment across plants under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, and willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage. On-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical training a plus.
• Mechanical/electrical environment experience via training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic solar installation/plant knowledge.
• Testing equipment familiarity and basic electrical testing.
• Able to read and follow verbal/written instructions.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred and keep current.
• Good English communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training/site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safe practices.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance with monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar parts and equipment under supervision.
• Respond on-call to assist in emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
• Uphold SOLV Energy's diversity and inclusion.
