Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to support safe, productive on-site maintenance at solar PV facilities across the United States. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and make repairs to maximize production and reliability.

In this field role you will learn within the Technician Track, report to Field Leadership, and travel up to 20% with on-call duties. Requirements include 6 months to 1 year of related experience, reading drawings, OSHA 10, MS

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or related trade.
• Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification, or ability to obtain within first 90 days.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings including fuses, breakers, switches, power sources, BoS equipment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high safety standards in all tasks.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities including inverter maintenance.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct routine site inspections and maintain reports, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory.
• Log data into Fiix, TrueContext, Deputy, and ACT SharePoint.
