Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the day of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Education - identify and meet learning needs of self; use patient education materials relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of Care - identify expected outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - provide care for patients with complex problems and ensure safety and standards.
• Leadership - promote goals, collaboration, cost-effective care, and safe hospital environment.
• Patient Assessment - assess data to determine care priorities and discharge needs.
• Planning - develop and adjust the plan of care with multidisciplinary resources.
• Research - review journals and share applicable ideas with staff.
