Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide competent nursing care in our Nash Hospitals Emergency Department. You will report to the Nurse Manager/Director and coordinate patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS certification, graduation from a professional nursing program, and at least one year of nursing experience; night-shift, full-time, 36 hours per week, onsite.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education: identifies learning needs of self and uses patient education materials.
• Evaluation of Care: identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in interdisciplinary discussions.
• Implementation: delivers care for patients with complex needs, prioritizes care, and uses standards and policies.
• Leadership: supports unit goals and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Patient Assessment: synthesizes data to determine care priorities and discharge needs.
