Job summary

UNC Health Nash seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process. You will report to the Nurse Manager/Director and contribute to a team that values excellence, safety, and patient-centered care.

This full-time, onsite role operates on a night schedule with 36 hours per week, serving Nash County and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program and active RN license in North Carolina.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Education: participate in learning activities to meet identified needs and educate patients/families as appropriate.
• Evaluation of Care: collaborate with the interdiscliplinary team to assess patient outcomes and adjust care plan.
• Implementation: provide bedside nursing care with attention to complex cases while following policies and procedures.
• Leadership: collaborate to achieve unit goals and promote safe, cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment: identify priorities and ensure safety, education, and discharge planning needs.
• Planning: work with patients and families to update plans of care and coordinate resources.
• Research: engage with current literature to inform practice.

Education

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina

Graduation from a school of professional nursing

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
